How Anumudu Died, As Peter Obi Visits Family

Foremost politician and Aspirant of the Labour Party guber in Imo State, Barr Humphery Anumudu’s death is no longer news to the public, but the circumstances of his death.

Barr. Humphery Anumudu last year developed cancer, but quickly went to a London hospital where he was cured for four months before returning to Nigeria in September.

However, feeling fit and healthy, he bought 20 Siena vehicles and one Lexus Jeep 470 for the State Chairman and Chairmen of Labour Party in Imo State to support the party which people felt had nothing to show for their existence in Imo State.

Just two weeks, he purchased the nomination and expression of interest form for Imo 2023 governorship race at the rate of twenty-five million naira (N25,000,000) under the Labour Party.

Meanwhile, while he was doing all these, little did he know that the cancer treatment was not totally total as the ailment resurfaced just last week.

Within the week, the family and himself battled the ailment in the Lagos hospital until it became obvious on Friday morning that he was not going to make it, and shortly after that, he gave up the ghost leaving behind his surviving elder brother and sister, Barr Johnson Oguzie Anumudu and Mrs. Rosemary Nwankwo.

Others left behind are; his three sons and one daughter and his wife.

In a related development, the Presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Mr Peter Obi on Sunday afternoon visited the family at the Banana Island Lagos where he condoled with the bereaved family.

Meanwhile, condolence register has been opened in his Banana Estate residence in Lagos and here at his Obazu Mbieri residence, Mbaitoli LGA of Imo State.

Further Information concerning his funeral will be communicated in due time by the immediate family.
