The face-off between the leadership of Labour and the Imo State Government may have deepened as Governor Hope Uzodinma is said to be battle ready against any sabotage to his 3R-led administration in Imo State.
Governor Uzodinma on Saturday sacked the commissioner for Labour and Productivity, Chief Ford Ozurumba over the issues that may not be unconnected to the face-off between the State Government and Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC).
Further information revealed that more appointees of the 3R Government may lose their job following similar incidence.
Our reporter who has been monitoring proceedings since after the sack of the Labour Commissioner observed that most of the appointees are said to be living in fear of what the Governor might do next following the deepening crisis.
Sources revealed that the ongoing impasse between NLC led by Joe Ajaero and Imo State Government has been worrying the Governor.
The report has it that almost all the appointees of the 3R government failed in their polling booths. More reports however showed that the appointees were allegedly involved in an anti-party business that reportedly cost the defeat of APC in Imo State during the Presidential election.
The Labour issue is yet another problem and it has been alleged that some appointees are allegedly fueling the face-off between Labour and the Government.
A grapevine report suggests that the activities of most of the appointees of the 3R government are being monitored by the Government House.
