Ikukuoma FC Debuts In 2023 NLO Two 

 ..As Club President, Dr Summers Promises Full Welfare Package

Spurred by his love for sports particularly football, the President of Ikukuoma Foundation now known as “Ikukuoma Sports Development Foundation”, Dr Summers VC Nwokie “Ikukuoma Mbaise” has floated a brand new club, Ikukuoma FC.

Speaking with some reporters over the weekend at his country home in Ezegbogu in Ezinihitte/Mbaise LGA, the renowned Philanthropist who loves using his foundation to identify and promote talents to greatness disclosed that after the second edition of his annual Ikukuoma Mbaise Nations Football Competition for all the LGA’s that makeup Mbaise nation, talented Players were carefully selected by a technical committee to form the fulcrum of the brand new team known as Ikukuoma Football Club.

Dr. Summers who said the club is already putting together a good campsite for the players also assured that four sets of brand new jerseys will soon be delivered for the team promising that a brand new 32-seater Coaster bus will be procured for their easy movement.

He stated that as a child he was always deprived by some persons the opportunity to enjoy playing the beautiful game in their village field but insisted that his foundation is out to ensure that the dream of taking the young talents in the club from the level they are up to the CAF level.

“As a young boy I loved playing football and used to be a goalkeeper, the love of the game is what has inspired this, and will continue carrying it.

“We are already putting up a camp with state-of-the-art equipment and we intend to make their welfare a priority with wages for the players at the end of every month. There is a plan to build the club’s own stadium as the land for the project is already acquired.

“The club has called experts in the game to bring the best of ideas to make the players get the best teaching.

“We have the intention of also bringing good legs from outside Mbaise to ensure the clubs goes far.

Recalling how he was finally admitted into the school by one of the teachers after answering questions no one could answer in the class, Dr. Summers promised that his foundation has been created to sustain their projects including the School Sports Competition and the Mbaise Nations Cup.

In his introductory speech, the Director General DG, of Ikukuoma Foundation, Mr Julius Nnaji informed that the team has been duly registered for the 2023 Nation-Wide League NLO Two while the affiliation with the state Football Association has been made to give the club all the necessary legal football backings.

So speaking, Ex International Coordinator of the team, Chuks Dike said the team which is barely a few weeks old has been engaging in some friendlies and will continue to do so in readiness for the NLO games later this year.
