March 11 Election:  Labour Party Bandwagon Effect Fears Imo APC Leaders, Assembly Candidates

Few days to the March 11, 2023 Gubernatorial and State Assembly Elections, many of the All Progressives Congress APC, House of Assembly Candidates particularly in Imo state are said to be exercising fears over what could be their fate following Labour Party’s winning streak in Igboland  in the just concluded  2023 Presidential and National Assembly elections.

Unconfirmed reports making rounds in the social media  however suggests that some House of Assembly candidates of the ruling All Progressives Congress are allegedly  pleading with candidates of Labour Party to step down for them in the upcoming March 11 State House of Assembly election.

Their fears according to findings by this paper is the hurricane Peter Obi that may sweep them off their feet for the position.

 Although not confirmed, one of the principal officers and Immediate past Speaker Imo House of Assembly and candidate for Obowo State constituency is said to have allegedly met the LP candidate to relinquish his interest for him to achieve his third tenure bid.

Considering the apparty vote given to Peter Obi and LP candidates in the February 25, 2023 election candidates of APC in the forthcoming March 11 State Assembly in Imo state are said to be leaving in fear of the Tsunami vote which may favour the Labour Party candidates as was experienced during the February 25th election.
