Imo APC Boss, Ebere Loses  Polling Booth To LP Candidate

Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Imo State, Dr MacDonald Ebere has lost his polling booth to the Labour Party in the February 25th general elections.

Announcing the result of booth 004, Mann Street Primary School, in Owerri Municipal Council, Labour Party defeated the ruling APC with one hundred and thirty eight (138) votes, while APC scored four (4) votes with PDP and Zenith Labour Party securing seven (7) and two (2) votes respectively.

A political scientist and leader in the State who preferred to be anonymous described the ruling APC as the major problem of Nigeria, and commended Nigerians for voting out the party.

According to the party leader, APC and PDP created the problem Nigerians are suffering today, noting that the defeat of the ruling party in the polling booth of its State Chairman who allegedly fought in his booth to perpetuate rigging is an indication that Nigerians are out to change the old narratives.

The APC Boss was also said to have fled the venue of the election when angry Youths in the Municipality alerted operatives of the State Security Service that the party state chairman was sharing Dollars to subvert the polls.

It can be recalled that the APC Chairman in the state, Dr Macdonald Ebere had boasted that he would deliver APC and its candidates in the 2023 polls, begged party leaders and members to forgive him and remain steadfast for the House of Assembly election coming up on the 11th of March.
