JUSTICE AND FAIRNESS UNIT OF ISOPADEC INAUGURATED.

The Justice and Fairness Unit of the Imo state Oil Producing Area Development Commission ISOPADEC has been inaugurated in Owerri.

In his address on the occasion, the managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Commission, Dr Henry Okafor charged stakeholders to help and spread the good news of the Justice and Fairness Unit to all and sundry as a means of planting the seed of sustainable peace and harmony in the oil producing areas of Imo state Dr. Okafor noted that the Commission is introducing the Justice and Fairness Unit in line with the Rescue Mission philosophy anchored on sustainable peace through equity, fair play and justice in the running of government business stressing that Governor Rochas Okorocha in an internationally acclaimed peace Ambassador whose exploit in peace related ventures is legendary.

He pointed out that the Justice and Fairness Unit shall resolve disputes by way of meditation, arbitration, negotiation, and other high breed processes in the alternative resolution system, adding that the Commission is bound to make more progress with the Justice and Fairness Unit that the sustainable peace that shall thrive will compliment its effort and stimulate economic and social growth.

In his speech, the Chairman, ISOPADEC  Rev. Emma Ebomuche called on all corporate bodies, NGO, Donor agencies and oil companies operating in the state to partner with the Commission in ensuring peace in the oil producing communities in the state thanking the Commission’s Governing board for liaising with it to bring peace in Ohaji/Egbema L.G.A.

Performing the inauguration, the Imo state Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Barr. Sorommadi Njoku maintained that Justice emanated from the bible noting that all rules given to Moses by God are Justice and fairness and commended ISOPADEC for keeping to the mandate Governor Okorocha gave to the Ministry of Justice to create Justice and fairness Unit.
