Crown Harvest Churches, Owerri, Hold Inaugural Convention, As Founder, Rev. Ekpendu Admonishes Christians

In a bid to groom people that will be highly commited to Jesus Christ and his Gospel, The Crown Harvest Church situated at 241 Nwaka Street, Okwu Uratta Road, of Bishop’s Court, Owerri Imo State, over the weekend held her inaugural convention as the host, founder and lead Pastor Rev. Johnson Ekpendu urge Imo citizens to embrace Jesus Christ.

The seven days event which took place from 18th – 24th April 2022 titled “Taste of Heaven” witnessed the presence of great ministers of the gospel who preached the unalloyed word of God to the congregation, amongst whom include Rev. Dr. Magnus Otutu, Pastor Godwin Agada, Pastor Kelly Young 0., Rev. Levi Anurukem., Prophet Emmanuel Akin-Jesu, Pastor Confidence Onuh, Deacon Denzel Kelechi Onuoha, Founder Rev. Johnson Ekpendu, music artists and other anointed men of God.

Speaking with Newsmen after the Convention which was crowned with the ordination of deserving Elders, Deacons, and Pastors of the Church in furtherance to win souls into God’s vineyard, the Founder Reverend Ekpendu expressed happiness on the turnout of event, he gave a brief history of Crown Harvest Church which he said was registered in 2018 with the corporate Affairs Commission but officially one year old in ministration, he reiterated that the Church started with a branch in Lagos, then the Owerri branch was planted which turns out to be the headquarter, he described the seven days convention as powerful.

Speaking further, Rev. Ekpendu maintained that the Crown Harvest Church has been helpful to the host community both spiritually and otherwise, he seized the platform to reel out some achievements of the church since inception at its present location, he said “since inception of this church, here about a year ago, we have graded the road two times, we clean the road, we have been a light to the host community, some people that don’t go to church have started going to church, their Christian life is improving”, on the issue of the recent insecurity, Rev. Ekpendu said it is a resultant effect of unemployment, adding that when people have low purchasing power, if you are not a child of God, the individual can cause mayhem. Rev. Ekpendu also enjoined Christians to call on God whenever they have challenges, he said God is the solution to societal problem, in his words “Imo citizens should embrace God, he is the solution to our societal problems” he urged.

Rev. Ekpendu also congratulated the newly ordained Pastors, Deacons and Elders amongst whom include; Mrs Grace Onuoha (Elder), Hon. Denzel and Mrs Vera Onuoha (Deacons), Mr. Godwin Agada (Pastor), Pastor Engr. Confidence Onuh (Pastor), and host of others he urged them to make judicious use of their new office to win souls to Jesus Christ, the highlight of the event showcased miracles, signs and wonders.
