WHO IS DR IJEOMAH ARODIOGBU, THE NEW APC NATIONAL VICE CHAIRMAN, SOUTH EAST?

Dr Linus Ijeomah Arodiogbu was born 53 years ago in Ndiadimoha, Arondizuogu in present day Ideato Nation, Imo State. He had his early education in Sapele Delta state, where his parents lived and equally studied Medicine at the University of Nigeria Enugu campus, from where he graduated in 1993.
In 2005, Dr Arodiogbu proceeded to the prestigious University of Leeds in England for a Master’s degree in Public health and returned few years later to set up his private firm in Abuja which consulted for various Federal government MDAs including TETFUND, UBEC, National Primary Health Care, among others.
By 2015, Dr Ijeomah worked as Special Adviser (Special Duties ) to the the then Hon Minister of state for Education , Prof Anthony Anwukah, and by 2019, he was also a consultant to the Governor of Yobe state, Alhaji Mai Mala Buni.
Dr Ijeoma has been a silent but strong intellectual pillar of the ruling APC in the last few years and had delivered successfully in some sensitive party assignments such as the 2021 Enugu Local Government APC Congress which he chaired as well as the 2021 Anambra APC Gubernatorial primaries Petition Committee, which he also chaired, among other sensitive party assignments which Dr Ijeomah gave a good account of himself.

Little wonder his nomination and consensus adoption as national vice chairman of the ruling party, was unanimously endorsed by the front line stakeholders in the South East, including the Imo state governor, Hope Uzodinma, Senator Ken Nnamani, Dr Chris Ngige, Senator Frank Ibezim, Senator Uche Nnaji and the entire South East Governors, to mention just these few.

Dr Ijeomah may not be the usual face of the typical Nigerian politician but he brings with him a robust experience of political strategy and organisational skills with an overdose of determination and commitment to reposition the APC in the southeast to become the party to beat.

According to his maiden press briefing, his main task is how to reconcile all those who are aggrieved within the party and how to ensure that the party wins more states in the Southeast, especially states like Abia and Enugu where their people are not impressed with the poor quality of governance that their states have become synonymous in the region and indeed across the entire country.
Dr Ijeomah has won numerous awards both in his native Arondizuogu community and in Abuja socio economic circles where he has impacted in no small measure. He is a devout Christian of the Catholic denomination and is married to Dr mrs ARODIOGBU, the country representative of World Health Organisation, and together they are blessed with two children.

This is wishing Dr Ijeomah a very productive and meaningful outing to the glory of God.
