Imo Angels FC Celebrates Women’s Day ..As Ikukuoma Awards Scholarship to Club’s Asst Captain

Imo Angels football club celebrated  their 2022 International Women’s day in a spectacular way with the theme; “Grooming the Girl Child For a Sustainable Future With Focus on Footballing Education”

Although the theme of this year’s women celebration in Female football is ‘Breaking The Bias’ we keep expanding and developing  more talents for a sustainable tomorrow, Imo Angels marked their bearing the girl child in mind.

The Event which took place at Rock view Hotel, Owerri had the presence of many Dignitaries such as the global president and Exco – Prince Ferdinand Akano, The SWAN Chairma, Mr. Everest Ezihe, SA Media, Hon (Mrs.) Amaka Okafor, SA Youth, Hon Eric Uwakwe to mention just a few.

The CEO of Imo Angels fc, Jenny Anusiem in her welcome speech explained reasons why Imo Angels Fc was set up.

The event equally saw  players of the Imo Angels fc introduced themselves and outlined most of the challenges they encounter on daily basis as footballers of Imo Angels fc and asked that invitees can support them the way they can.

Highlight of the event was when the club gave an award to two great personalities who have supported the club in a  great way.

 Amb. Samuel Chijioke Anyakamnele and Chief Dr. Summers Vitus Nwokie.

One of the Awardee, Chief Dr. Summers Vitus Nwokie The CEO of Ikukuoma foundation out of his benevolence and magnanimity decided to use his foundation to sponsor a player of Imo Angels Fc – Pattra Oparanmegwa,  the Assistant captain of the club with scholarship through her University education.
