KC Akali Int’l FC Academy Debuts In Owerri, Holds Campos FC in Friendly

The future of grassroots sports in Imo state particularly Owerri can be said to be heading towards a positive direction following the emergence of brilliant football academies.

One of such club side that recently sprang up is the KC Akali Int’l Football Academy with the vision and mission to give talented young players the platform to realise their dream of playing professional football here in Nigeria and mostly abroad.

Speaking to Trumpeta sports desk shortly after their second friendly game in Owerri, President/CEO of the one month old team, Mr Kelechi Stanley Akali “KC Akali” said the players have barely been together for a month and that they are coming from different conners of the nation as he intends to have them gel as team, play in friendlies and hopefully the Imo state FA League and the Aiteo Cup to put them in good shape before heading for trials in Europe.

The Football Scouting Agent who has been the business for almost a decade said the door is currently wide open for any talented player here in Imo who wants to make in the game to join them and realise their dream.

The team which is tutored by Coach Alex Ndulaka “1 on 1” have within the week played two friendlies winning one against Ndegwu Stars 3-2 and a draw with Campos FC.
