MBAIKE Reps Aspirant Ukanacho Bags CATOL Award, Charges Mothers To Pursue Family With Responsibility, Visits HTC Obazu Mbieri

Business mogul and House of Representatives Aspirant for Mbaitoli-Ikeduru Federal Constituency ahead 2023 election Sir Osmond Ukanacho on Sunday March 13, 2022  was honoured with distinguished award as EZIENYI (True Friend)  of the Women’s Ministry of the Cathedral Church of the Transfiguration of Our Lord (CATOL) Owerri.

The honour was conferred on Ukanacho alongside other eminent personalities at special a service to mark this year’s  pre mothering  Sunday.

Preaching a sermon at the church service, the Cathedral Administrator of CATOL Ven. Innocent Agunanne warned Christians to be conscious of people they keep as friends. He submitted that some Christians have had their lives wasted by people they trusted so much as friends. The man of God who took his text from the book of Matthew 26: 42ff argued that of all the Apostles of Jesus, only Judas Iscariot was His tribesman yet Judas betrayed Jesus Christ.

Ven Agunanne therefore encouraged his audience to watch and pray in order not to fall into the temptation of betraying their masters and friends.

Before presenting the award to Sir Osmond Ukanacho, the CATOL Women through the Vicar’s wife Mrs Chinwe Agunanne and Chair of the Planning Committee Lady Uche Moneke had described the former Imo guber candidate as a devout Christian, worthy Knight of the Church and distinguished humanist.

Speaking after receiving the honor, Chief Osmond Ukanacho decried the high rate of crime and immorality in the land, attributing it to the collapse of family and social values.

The House of Representatives Hopeful pointedly told the women to look back to amend the fault lines by taking back their family responsibilities with new zeal, passion and commitment.

Sir Osmond Ukanacho however commended the women for their role in the church and for finding him fit of the award even when he did not ask for it. He later made a donation of an undisclosed sum to support the 2022 Mothering Sunday of CATOL.

The Business mogul pledged to always support the women and never to fail in his determination to advance humanity by touching lives using his personal funds.

He said his aspiration to represent Mbaitoli-Ikeduru in 2023 is anchored on his desire to give hope to the poor, needy and vulnerable as well as protecting the innocent rich and the average via effective representation.

Former Archbishop of Owerri Province Most Rev. Dr. Bennett Okoro, his wife Dora, former Imo State Commissioner for Lands, Survey and Urban Planning Sir Bon Unachukwu whose spouse Lady Ndidi was also honored at the event among others were present at the church service.

The Reps Aspirant later visited Holy Trinity Anglican Church Obazu Mbieri where he advised mothers to be united with their husbands and children to fight the rot in the society.

He later made some cash donations to support the women Ministry of HTC Obazu Mbieri.

Ukanacho was accompanied by some members of his campaign team among whom were Barr Egbuhuzo, Hon Thompson Uzoukwu.
