Ahead of the 2023 general elections, group under the platform of Mbaitoli political Consultative forum have pleaded with honourable Ugochukwu Osuji to vie to represent them at the State House of Assembly.
This was contained in a communique issued by the group after their meeting on Sunday, March 6, 2022.
They said they have confidence in the ability of chief Osuji popularly known as balugo to provide a Grass Roots oriented representation if elected.
The group, who were in their numbers added that Balugo has the character and leadership experience, having held several offices in the past.
Part of the statement signed by Dr. Christian Oparaugo who is the publicity secretary of the forum read: “We are aware that INEC has released a detailed timetable and schedule of activities for the 2023 general election, and today being the 6th of March, 2022, through this press chat, we want to add our voices to the political affairs of Mbaitoli by pleading with Hon. Ugochukwu Osuji to declare interest to represent the good people of Mbaitoli in the State House Of Assembly.
“We have closely monitored the affairs of Mbaitoli people in terms of representation and wish to express that we need a capable, competent and credible person to be our voice in the house.
“However, our findings show that Hon. Osuji has the needed qualities, leadership experience and passion for the development of Ehime which he always displayed in words and actions.
“Also, we aware of the fact that apart from his involvement in politics, he is a successful businessman who has contributed greatly in the development of Mbaitoli through human development programmes, and support to widows and indigents as well as other notable humanitarian and other philanthropic engagements which keeps him ahead of others.
The group pledged to throw their weight behind Osuji, urging others Support the agenda for Mbaitoli development.
