Umuakali Naze Youths Decide, As Ken Anoruo Emerges Chairman

Amb. Chinonso Anoruo has emerged the new chairman of Umuanyahu, Umuakali Youths in Naze, Owerri North, LGA of Imo state, after a keenly contested election last weekend.

The election it was gathered, had a total number of 109 persons revalidated and 66 accredited out of which, 61 voted in his favour to make him winner of the youth association, while 5 voted for his opponent, Onyemauche Ofoegbu.

Speaking with our correspondent, the new chairman revealed that, the election which had traditional rulers, Naze Central Youth President and other youth leaders from the six villages in attendance was conducted in a free, fair and transparent atmosphere.

In his vote of thanks while appreciating Umuakali youths for making him the chairman, Amb. Anoruo promised to maintain peace and unity at all times in his new leadership. 

Part of his pledge was to complete the ongoing road project his team was working on while they were on interim leadership, before been voted in to office, further assuring that, other projects will be unveiled with time. 

Other leaders of the association are, Chukwuemeka Nzeh- Vice Chairman, Franklin Nzeh-Secretary, Chinedu Osuji- Treasurer, Onyenobi Daniel Negre-Financial Secretary, Chinedu Uche- Provost, Noel Afokwalam- PRO 1, Chiemena Amuneke- PRO 2, Ifeanyi Ahumibe-Welfare Officer.
