Imo State is in the spotlight again concerning the spread of the dreaded Covid 19 pandemic.
Barely a month after it came tops in new cases of the disease, the state has emerged the highest in the new record of cases.
According to a report Trumpeta monitored in one of the national television, NTA on Sunday, Imo as at 6th November, 2021 led the chart for new infection with 53 new cases of the 116 new cases reported in the country.
The report shown in NTA has ten States listed with new cases of the 116 cases. Imo has 53, Plateau 30, FCT 10, Kano 9, Kaduna 8 and Rivers 3.
It would be recalled that last month, Imo has a similar record of coming fist among other states fuelling speculations of danger in the state over the high rate of new cases recorded.
