Henry Nwosu, Mobi Oparaku, Mbachu, Nevile Appointed Into ANPU Committees

Former Eagles midfielder and Coach Henry Nwosu ‘MON’ alongside Atlanta ’96 Olympic football gold medalist, Mobi Oparaku ‘MON’, Former Iwuanyanwu National player, Casmire Mbachu as well as Former Enyimba player and ex-Heartland FC Secretary, Nevile Okere were recently inducted into various committees of the All Nigeria Football Players Union ANPU.

According to reports made available to Trumpeta sports desk, the BOT Chairman of ANPU,  Chikelue Iloanusi with the National Secretary of the Union, Oliseh Onuchukwu flew into Owerri over the weekend to show solidarity to the ex professional footballers in Imo state especially the newly formed “Imo Football Legends” which is made up of ex-football players only.

Reacting to the development, Heartland FC former Secretary, Okere appreciated the BOT of ANPU and his colleagues for finding them worthy of such responsibilities assuring that they are willing to bring their respective and collective wealth of experience for success and progress of the union.

“We are all delighted to have been appointed into various committees of ANPU and on behalf of my colleagues we can assure the body of our total commitment towards moving the Union forward.

“We appreciate the BOT members and the National Exco for their hand of fellowship and recognition of ex players in Imo,” Nevile Okere stated.

Meanwhile, the management of Imo State Football Legends have appreciated the BOT and Exco of ANPU for fi ding their members worthy of working in their committees and congratulating their members for their merited appointments.

In their respective comments, Mbachu who also doubles as Chairman of Ex Iwuanyanwu National Players and Henry Nwosu thanked the BOT Chairman and the Union Secretary for the holding forth for the ex players through the efforts of the Union maintaining that this will help bring progress to Nigerian football.
