Ahead 2021/22 NPFL: Heartland FC Cries Wolf Again, Declares Kelechi Chimezie Gone AWOL

The Management of Heartland FC Owerri has once again declared that one of its influential players last season has gone AWOL.

According to a release made available to Trumpeta Sports desk by the clubs Media Director, Onu Solomon said the whereabouts of the hard tackling midfielder was unknown to them.

Parts of the release read;

“The management of Heartland FC, Owerri wishes to inform the football community and the general public that the whereabouts of one of its  players Kelechi Chimezie is unknown.

“While Heartland hopes and urges  for a safe return of Mr Chimezie, the Club wishes to reiterate that Kelechi Chimezie is not for sale at any price and do not wish to do business with any club on any potential sale. “Heartland FC also wishes to warn any agent, manager,  company or club trying to perform any form of transaction to desist forthwith as the club won’t hesitate to  use every legal means necessary to retain the services of Kelechi Chimezie who is deemed non transferable”.

Recall that last Saturday season the club also declared that its former midfielder, Samuel Nnoshiri had gone AWOL only for him to be snapped by Katsina United as he even played against Heartland FC during the second stanza of last season before transferring to Spain where he now plays for Real Oviedo.
