Indications are that the Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, Imo State, Comrade Ogubundu Nwadike may have resigned his office.
Although it has not been officially confirmed by the PDP, Imo State chapter, but a letter of Resignation, purportedly signed by Ogubundu has been in circulation in the social media.
The letter dated September 14, 2021, with a stamp dated September 15, 2021, as acknowledged by the office of the State Chairman, Chief Charles Uwgu said that “this is to inform you of my decision to resign from my position as the State Publicity Secretary of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Imo State. My resignation takes effect from the date of this letter”.
Several calls put across Ogubundu’s phone rang repeatedly without replies.
When Trumpeta contacted Imo PDP Office Okigwe Road, Owerri, sources told our Reporter that no officer can confirm or deny the story as everybody came to work only to see the letter, and since Ogubundu was yet to arrive office, no one could say who brought the letter.
“I have seen a copy of the letter addressed to the chairman, but Ogubundu is not here to confirm or deny the letter. And he has not been picking his calls” a Reliable source told Trumpeta from Imo PDP Office, Owerri.
However, outside sources said that the PDP Spokesman will soon resurface and take over his office and job, because he had no quarrel with anybody, even as the party is adequately funding his office and there was no need to entertain any fear to the contrary.
Trumpeta learnt that Ogubundu recently lost his father, and is engaged in the burial arrangements.
It was rummoured that the said resignation letter may have been planted in the Media by opposition political parties to embarrass the PDP in Imo State.
