Overwhelmed with untapped football talents in Imo State and with patriotic vision of seeing football as a serious business, Prince Chidiebere Onuoha has put in motion a platform to harness potentials and groom them to international standard for maximum exploits.
The Liverpool in England based business son of Agbaja in Nwangele Local Government Area of Imo state and Facilitator of FIRSTMAHI FC FMI, made his intentions known to members of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria SWAN, Imo chapter at old Township Stadium along Tetlow road, Owerri revealing that the team just ended a 5 days screening exercise to selected talented players for the team by a team of ex -internationals and seasoned football administrators.
He equally guaranteed sustainability of the club revealing that their major sponsorship comes from their Parent company in United Arab Emirates UAE, as well as with funds from the resources sourced locally.
Earlier in his introduction of the club the teams supervisor, Mr Chuks Dike reiterated the commitment of the management members and the technical crew to shape the players players and ready for greener pastures.
Dike further informed that the club is equally open for Under 15 and 17 players while plans to play in the 2021/2022 Nigeria National league NNL, is on.
He solicited for collaboration with Imo SWAN in their mission and vision of producing and marketing quality national and international players.
The Football Administrator also decried the extent of politicizing sports in Nigeria especially football and called for a rethink in the overall interest of the growth and development of the game.
