The latest may not has been heard about the outcomes of the last Saturday nationwide Local Governments Congresses of the All Progressives Congress, APC as the Interim Management Committee Chairman of Ohaji/Egbema Council Area of Imo State, Hon. Prince Marcel Amadioha accused the Managing Director of ISOPADEC, Chief Charles Orie, ADAPALM, GM, Hon. Goddy Esemobodo and their cohorts of working for the former Governor Rochas Okorocha.
Prince Amadioha told newsmen yesterday that Chief Orie and others authored front page publication of Whitepaper newspapers of Monday 2nd August, 2021 edition titled, “Tension in Ohaji/Egbema as some leaders are angry with IMC Chairman, Ex-Speaker over logistics meant for Congress” because their kangaroo Congress at Chief Orie’s Shell Camp Compound in Owerri, the State capital failed as the original APC faithful were all in their various wards in Ohaji/Egbema for the Congresses. He alleged that Chief Orie used fictitious names to purchase forms for aspirants who he described as Okorocha’s loyalties through Hon. Kingsley Uju, member representing Ohaji/Egbema,Oguta and Oru West in the Federal House of Representatives who won election under Action Alliance and later U-turned to APC. “I wonder why somebody should accuse me of diverting money meant for the Congress. Of course, everybody knows that Whitepaper newspaper is pro- Okorocha’s media outfit. Nobody should take it serious. Again, I didn’t divert money meant for the Congress nor connived with the former Speaker of Imo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Goodluck to embezzle any fund”.
“The truth of the matter is that two million five hundred and fifty six thousand naira was released to Ohaji/Egbema for the Congress by the State Government after a stakeholders meeting held in Government House, Owerri last week Friday. And those who attended the meeting persuaded me to disburse the money there, but I went back to the SGI who directed that one million naira should be shared among all the leaders in the LGA not for only those who attended the meeting. While the remaining one should be used to entertain party faithful who will participate in the Congress as well as the adhoc electoral team. One hundred and thirty thousand naira was shared to each of the 12 wards of Ohaji/Egbema. While the remaining one million naira was shared to 60 leaders in the various wards where some got ranging from twenty five thousand and ten thousand naira each. It is unfortunate that Chief Orie and his cohorts have been inciting the youths of Ohaji/Egbema against Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State, telling them that the Governor refused to fund ISOPADEC so that they will embark on protest against Government. As a youthful IMC Chairman, I have been calming the whole situation. He has been sabotaging our Governor. Could you imagine that Chief Orie still have cordial relationship with enemies of the present administration. Infact, he wanted to use Hon. Uju’s structure, the right hand man of former Governor Okorocha to rule Ohaji/Egbema APC”‘, the IMC Chairman alleged.
However, Prince Amadioha seized the opportunity to praise Governor Uzodimma for a successful party Congress as well as his people for turning out enmass to participate in the exercise.
Meanwhile, our correspondent spotted Hon. Emma Orie and others when they were collecting their shares of the Congress largesse at one of the hospitality industries in Owerri yesterday.
