Keshi Adjusts Eagles Training, Team Jets out this weekend


 

Super Eagles gaffer, Stephen Keshi has changed the teams training sessions to suite the international friendly inMiami,United StatesagainstVenezuela.

This change took effect since Tuesday, as the team now leaves its training camp at the Botton White Apartment in Zone 7, every 6:30am, and returns to the camping site about 9:30am.

According to the team Secretary, Dayo Achor Enebi, “Its all in a bid to ensure that the match time for the friendly againstVenezuelaand the sunny nature of the weather that is expected when the two teams tango in theUnited Statesis followed.”

The match is scheduled for 8:30pm Nigerian time and 2:00am CAT, but it’s expected to be very sunny on that day.

The team will train throughout this week in the early hours and is expected to jet out by the weekend for the friendly.

Meanwhile, Keshi has stated that he was delighted that one of his players, Peter Osaze Odenwingie, got a brace in West Brom’s 2-0 win againstSouthamptonon Monday night in the English Premier League.

Keshi also said that the coaching crew is all praying that all the players should continue to be in good health and score for their clubs ahead of the Nations Cup. It means we will have a very good squad at the CAN 2013 championship.

Nigeriawill take on the Venezuelan national team inMiami, this month as part of their preparations for the AFCON 2013 slated forSouth Africain January.

The team largely made up of locally based players will be joined in Miami by few of the invited professional players as the coach, Keshi has said he will be using the game in Miami to make up his mind on the final team list.
