The Imo Christian Association of Nigeria CAN, President, Rev Dr Eches Divine Eches has called on the government, all well meaning citizens of the state as well as private organizations to rally round and support the wonderful project called Imo Angels FC.
Rev Eches who made the call on Wednesday during his courtesy visit to the team at their training ground at Old Township Stadium, Owerri also used the medium to advice the girls against social vices saying that discipline is key to success for everyone in all walks of life.
Describing his long association with football especially the Nigerian national teams said with discipline more of Asisat Ashoala and Desire Oparanozie’s will be discovered from Imo Angels FC in the near future.
He said with his position as leader of the Christian Association in the state that he will use his contacts to attract support for the team which he said is one of very wonderful ways of encouraging the girl child.
The Imo State CAN President while lauding the efforts of the club’s CEO, Lady Jenny Anusiem said she is a bondull of blessing for the girls.
As a way of lensing his support for the team, Rev Eches promised to take care of one year salary of one player in the team adding that he will equally attract some of his friends with like mind to do sane.
He also gave a cash support of N50, 000.
