A Non- Governmental Organization, NGO, Whispers To Humanity has unfolded its program which is targeted at changing the narratives of the Girl-child and young women.
The founder of the NGO, Mary Jacob Chika Okwuosa in her debut interface with top media professionals and other activists in disclosed that Whispers To Humanity has great agenda to continue to liberate woman by getting involved with programs bring up the Girl Child in the right way.
Giving a brief background of herself, the Whispers To Humanity founder revealed how she has been involved in activism and gender sensitive interest for a while by her experience in the sector since post primary and university days.
Okwuosa said that the experienced garnered within that period coupled with her enthusiasm to do more for the society and mankind propelled her to do more at this stage by coming up with the NGO.
Speaking further on their programs, Miss Okwuosa said that they have model clubs in schools in the state aimed at catching them young for the project.
“I have been in the space for this for long. I started with Actionaid, I began to think beyond the NGO and came up with how to whisper to impact on life.
Our main focus here is the young girls. To change the narrative by opening their eyes to a different world. We have a feminist approach by engaging in very innovative approach. A new world to change the life of the young ones” she added. One interesting aspect of the Whisper To Humanity is the tracking derive it provided for youths to always show their locations wherever they are.
