The Mbieri Nwotuoke Youth Association, an apex youth body in Mbaitoli council area has lauded the effort of Mrs. Balogun Faith Ngozi ,the Headmistress of Obilubi Community School in attracting massive rebuilding and renovation of blocks of classrooms and ensuring that pupils in the school study in a conducive environment.
President of the Mbieri Nwotuoke Youths Association, Comr. Soronadi Emmanuel who spoke on behalf of the respected youth body gave the commendation on Monday while fielding questions from newsmen at the school premises.
He said,” We thank God that the Headmistress cried to Umu Obilubi Global in USA and God used them to change the looks of the school”
“We thanked the then Permanent Secretary of Education, Sir Chikezie Moses whom God used to cancel her transfer from this school. The community is happy to work with Mrs Balogun, even in years to come.”
The youth leader said on assumption of office, Balogun popularly called the Crying Headmistress because of her untiring effort was not comfortable over the dilapidated condition of some of the school blocks, hence her decision to intervene.
Soronadi applauded the gesture of Obilubi Global made up Obilubi sons and daughters in USA, commending them for sponsoring the massive rebuilding and renovation of blocks of classrooms at Obilubi Primary School.
He said this feat was made possible after Mrs Balogun, popularly called the crying Headmistress made several passionate appeal to Obilubi sons and daughters abroad.
“Our people are so pleased and happy with her initiative. Before she came on board as the Head mistress, almost all classroom blocks were in a dilapidated state but today reverse is the case.
