Imo Football Fraternity Mourns Zigima’s Demise ..As Heartland Players Spoil For Showdown Over Unpaid Entitlements

Few hours to the commencement of Heartland FC vs Jigawa Golden Stars NPFL Week 26 encounter, Imo football lovers especially fans of Naze Millionaires were thrown into mourning following the death of Collins Amadi “Zigima”.
The former Ranges Int’l, Iwuanyanwu National player who also had stint in Germany before returning to Nigeria was pronounced dead after a protracted illness.
Although his burial rights has not been made known by the family but Zigima will be be remembered for his mercurial skill and jokes with his ever smiling face.
Meanwhile, players of Heartland FC have reportedly declared not to take part in their next game unless they meet with Imo state Governor, Sen Hope Uzodinma to iron out their unpaid entitlements.
Trumpeta sports desk gathered that after their encounter with Jigawa Stars which they won 2-1 at the Dan Anyiam stadium, Owerri on Sunday that the players expressed their anger over their unpaid salaries running up to 5 months lamenting that they want to see the Governor or they will down tools.
This will be the third time the players will threatening to boycott their matches over unpaid salaries and bonuses.
This paper also learnt that the technical crew of the Owerri based side have not been paid any match bonus since the commencement of this season and that even that of the players have not been fully paid.
Heartland FC is expected to face FC OfeanyiUbah in their next match
