The Deputy Governor of Imo State, His Excellency, Prof Placid Njoku has reiterated the resolve of the state government to adapt and apply all possible measures necessary to safeguard the people and citizens of Imo State.
His Excellency Prof Placid Njoku made this known while answering questions from Ben TV, London after representing the Executive Governor of Imo State His Excellency Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodinma at a public safety seminar held at the Mbari cultural center in Owerri, Imo State on Monday. Outlining the focus and preparedness of Government to ensure the safety of Imo citizens, Prof Placid Njoku remarked that it is a cardinal principle of the Government of his Principal, Governor Hope Uzodinma to leave no stone unturned in it’s commitment to evolve and enforce measures which serve as pillars of safety to Imolites. While expressing satisfaction with the results gotten from measures adopted by the Government to protect the people, the Deputy Governor declared that public safety is not a one way or one arm process, declaring that the people also owe it to themselves to be conscious of the things they need to do and instructions they need to adhere to in ensuring their personal and communal safety. The Deputy Governor declared that no one should put himself or herself in danger by staying in uncompleted buildings, moving around construction sites without following requisite instructions and safety guidelines, going into areas of ongoing confrontations or engagements, or any other act that may bring harm and discomfort to the person or persons.
His Excellency Prof Placid Njoku remarked that His Excellency, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodinma is resolute and poised to partner with local and global partners in promoting not just all issues of public safety, but also issues as regards to environmental safety as well as direct investments into the economy of Imo State.
His Excellency thanked the promoters of the event and enjoined Ben TV London to be keen on promoting the positive sides of Imo State as this will greatly impact on foreign direct investments (FDI) thereby raising the well-being and status of the people.
