A new Management of Imo State Internal Revenue Service, IIRS, has recently emerged with Chief Emeka Udegbulem as Chairman.
The inauguration ceremony by the Gov. Hope Uzodinma was held on Tuesday, the 18th of May at the Sam Mbakwe Exco Chambers located in Government House , Owerri
Trumpeta Correspondent gathered that, Uzodinma while speaking to the people at the event stated emphatically that the appointment of the IIRS members wasn’t based on sentiments but rather on test of proven Integrity and perceived pedigree over time.
Continuing ,he mentioned that to him ,the best hands that are fit for the job have been appointed as such, they are expected to discharge their duties diligently without fear nor bias to enable them achieve the vision of this government.
Dr Tony Nkemakolam a former banker with about 26 years banking experience, a PhD holder in banking and finance and a knight of the Catholic Church, (KSJ) who incidentally is one of the newly inaugurated members of the IIRS and currently the Director, Imo State Internal Revenue Service’s who spoke to Trumpeta said “the confidence the governor has in me that made him recommend me for this job would not be taken for granted. He selected me because he had carefully profiled my potential and found out that I have the capacity he wants. For this reason, I won’t disappoint him nor those looking up to me, I would work in synergy with my Colleagues in the board to ensure that the 3R Mantra of this administration comes to reality.

He enjoined all those inaugurated alongside with him Dr Lawrence Nwaodu, Mrs Ugwuegbu Grace, representatives of statutory Members of Ministries and Agencies, and those of local Government Service Commission to be up and doing by being lights in their various called departments.
