Owerri Community Leader, Oweaya Admonishes Udo Diri Ndom Owere, Says No Short Cut To Mentorship

A renowned community leader in Owerri Municipal, Chief Honourable Dr Sir Christian Oweaya Anukam (KSM) Agbawodike Izu Owere has called on Owerri Women under the aegis of Udo Diri Ndom Owere, to remain steadfast and foster unity in their communities.
Chief Oweaya gave this charge during a live broadcast on Ozisa FM, Owerri and also during a media parley at his office in Owerri. The foremost community leader who spoke at length felicitated with the women of Owere Nchi Ise in arears on the Mothers’ day celebration. He told Udo Diri Ndom Owere at home and abroad that Easter and the Mothers day celebration are very significant. He said this period is a period of forgiveness, he said they should forgive those who offend them, that it is also a time for mercy.
He assured Udo Diri Ndom Owere of his unalloyed support, adding unequivocally that he is their grand patron and mentor and he will continue to act in that capacity for the sake of the communities in their Municipal.
Chief Oweaya also called on the women of his community to forgive their husbands and also ask their husbands for forgiveness when they err. He noted that forgiveness on both sides will go a long way to foster unity among family members, according to him families ought to be united so as to move the society forward.
Speaking on the ongoing election of Udo Diri Ndom Owere officials, the renowned community leader, mentor and Grand Patron, Chief Oweaya called on the women to follow due process as enshrined in their constitution. He reiterated that the constitution must be strictly followed.
He said there are 5 key positions which will be filled by leaders brought by the villages to the federal level of leadership in Udo Diri Ndom Owere which include President, Vice President, Secretary, Financial Secretary and Treasurer, noting that the kindreds will nominate and fill their own positions, according to Chief Oweaya, the tenure of leaders in Udo Diri Ndom Owere will last for two years and there    will not be any form of imposition of candidates, as the women all know where their leaders    will    come from.
The renowned community leader, Chief Oweaya said    he doesn’t involve    in the electoral process and Udo Diri Ndom Owere are free to oversee    the  electoral process in line with the constitution, he said he has given them freedom to fill their political positions.
Speaking further, he said the constitution is there to follow and not to violate, he said Udo Diri Ndom Owere will not tolerate violations.
He said he will leave no stone unturned in the quest for a better society starting with his community. He said he has contributed to the development of Owerri Communities and also contributed his quota to Udo Diri Ndom Owere which prompted them to make him their Mentor and Grand Patron, adding that there is no short cut to mentorship and Grand Patrons. He said one cannot become a mentor and grand patron overnight.
Still on the election, Chief Oweaya said his role in the process is to bless leaders that emerge, the community leader noted that Udo Diri Ndom Owere is apolitical. He said he was motivated to build a two storey building for Udo Diri Ndom Owere behind Owerri Girls opposite Toprate Hotel. He called the women to prevent externals from thwarting their electoral and leadership process, he urged them to uphold the constitution. Chief Oweaya also advised Udo Diri Ndom Owere to foster unity and refrain from anything that creates enmity between their husbands and their children
