Recently, the executives of “Royal Ladies Club of Mbaise” paid a courtesy visit to Hon John Iwuala, the State party Chairman of All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA in appreciation for the recognition given to one of theirs to act in the capacity of Woman leader in Ahiato Ward of Aboh Mbaise LGA.
The event took place at the Party’s office at No.49 Egbu road, Owerri where the women were admonished by both the Party Chairman and the the Zonal Coordinator Owerri Zone.
Hon .John Iwuala who appreciated the women spoke to newsmen stating that he is so happy witnessing the day’s event.
In his own words, “I feel happy that the Royal Ladies Club of Mbaise nation has decided to write their names in Gold, much happier that it is happening in my time with their makeup coming from the 3LGAs of Mbaise nation.
Continuing, he mentioned that they paid him a visit to let him know their willingness to collapse to APGA based on the fact that an Mbaise son is now the state Chairman of APGA and the promotion given to one of them, Lady Chinenye Uche to act in the capacity of the woman leader of APGA in Ahiato ward of Aboh Mbaise LGA.
The Mbaise born erudite politician, Hon John Iwuala happily encouraged the women to get acquainted with happenings in their area and wards to enable them become relevant for soon, LGA elections would be conducted and would be a thing of joy if their women key into it because APGA have room for 35% women involvement as well as waiver for women aspirants in the party. “he concluded.
The Zonal Coordinator Owerri Zone, Hon .Cosmos Unakalamba thanked the women immensely for coming to associate themselves with APGA. He stated that they are in the right party for as an Ibo man, APGA is the only identity they have and only with the Party would all these abnormalities happening in the state be a thing of the past.
He enjoined them all to put hands together just as they have started to ensure that APGA achieves its goal come 2023 by spreading it’s good news, by locating their various Ward Chairmen and ensuring they register accordingly.
He emphasized, that they make their identity known for easy identification for he is optimistic that their partnership with them would yield positive fruits. He cited the government of Anambra state which is APGA as he concluded.
The president of the Club, lady Gladys Eke equally mentioned that she is solidly behind the newly selected woman leader for she is instrumental to her being there.
Another member of the Club Lolo Okemadu Adaku who spoke stated her unalloyed support to Lady Chinyere Uche.
She stated that once she is doing well, she wouldn’t relent in going an extra mile for her to ensure that she comes out top in everything she does politically.
Lady Chinyere the APGA ward woman leader was full of gratitude as she spoke. She thanked all who stood and worked for her towards the endorsement of her request for the entire Royal Ladies Club to collapse into APGA.
She promised never to let them down as she assured them that the trust and confidence which they have in her that made them rally around her would not be taken for granted as she would carry everyone along to ensure that their goals are met and the vision of APGA is actualized.
