Position of Imo Deputy Governor, Prof Njoku Shaky?

Information available to Trumpeta has it that all is not well with the Deputy Governor of Imo State Prof Placid Njoku, as reports filtered in that there are moves to have him replaced.

This Newspaper learnt that there are moves from a certain Quarters to move against the Deputy Governor who was sworn in same day with Governor Hope Uzodinma.

Impeccable sources revealed that the plot to have him removed is been hatched by some interested bidders in Owerri zone said to be uncomfortable with his position.

Njoku, from Ikeduru LGA before now had no previous political background. Majority of APC members in the CampHope political family are said to be expressing reservations over his position considering his identity in politics.

Trumpeta learnt that the hatchets are still considering possible avenues to ensure the Deputy Governor is removed for a thorough breed politician.

“I can confirm there are plans to push the Deputy Governor out from office to have him replaced. But how it will be achieved is what I don’t know. Those interested in his position look at him from background checks where there are complaints I can’t state here” the source added.

Trumpeta further learnt that a particular politician from Owerri North (Names Witheld) who left PDP recently for APC was accused to be plotting the said removal. Though the accused politician has publicly denied it,  but the report was an indication that something is fishing.

When our reporter went to the Deputy Governor’s office, no official was willing to comment on the matter when asked for details.
