Former Ikeduru IMC Boss Loses Mum, As Late Ezinne Dorothy Opara Goes Home March 19

The remains of late Ezinne Dorothy Mmanu Opara (Nee Ekechukwu) (LSM) will be laid to rest at her country home Owalla Avuvu in Ikeduru Local Government Area of Imo State on Friday the 19th day of March 2021, she was aged 91 at the time of her death.

The son of the deceased and Former Interim Management Committee (IMC) Chairman of Ikeduru Local Government Area, Hon. Dr. Anselem Opara made the disclosure while speaking with newsmen in Owerri, Imo State. Fie described the demise of his mother as a very painful one. Fie described his late mother as a woman whose kind deeds have been commended by all and sundry, adding that his late mother touched lives, a lot of lives.

Honourable Anselem Opara said, “the loss of a mother is very painful no matter the age. While she lasted, we had a very good time with my late mother she was dedicated to us and the community, she was a trained mid-wife and a grade 1 nurse, the proprietress of popular St. Jude maternity home, Owalla Avuvu, she has delivered over 6000 children since 1968, she came home from the North to Owerri, Owerri was threatened as a result of the civil war, she relocated us home, she finally re-opened the maternity”.

According to information gathered, the event is expected to host top political stakeholders from within and outside the country as well as well known businessmen who are expected to storm the venue of the event.

The event outline revealed that there will be a vigil mass today the 18th of March 2021, on the 19th being Friday there will be a requiem mass at St. Eunan’s Catholic Church Parish, Owalla Avuvu by 10am.
