Special Adviser to Imo State Governor on Religious Affairs, Very Rev. Dr. Chidi Ndubuisi Nwanebu, has admonished Imolites to see Governor Hope Uzodinma as a Messiah sent to deliver good governance.
He said, no sensible indigene of Imo State would inculcate the spirit of hate towards Governor Uzodinma, after all the laudable achievements recorded within one year in office.
Rev. CNN Nwanebu made the above speech at Dan Anyiam Stadium Owerri, on Sunday, shortly after the interdenominational church service marking the one year anniversary of the Shared Prosperity Government.
The function which he served as the Chairman, witnessed the presence of creme de la creme from all walks of life, especially the Religious Leaders, Political class, and well-wishers.
Rev. Nwanebu described the Governor as a likeable personality, who has the Heavenly mandate to salvage ndi Imo from the shackles of Maladministration.
Aside that, he disclosed that the Governor, from time immemorial has been a straightforward politician, serving God and humanity through good representation.
He recalled that the state of Imo before Uzodinma’s emergence a year ago, and now has never remained the same, pointing out that there are over forty-six roads completed, and few awaiting completion.
The fiery cleric enjoined the public to desist from “Pull-Him-Down” syndrome, adding that no State has ever prospered in the midst of antagonism, and unhealthy criticisms.
Nwanebu further tasked critics to always see the good in the present government, especially an administration that is making frantic effort towards delivering good governance.
“Governor Hope Uzodinma is a selfless Leader. I repeat, no sensible Imolites would allow him or herself to develop hate towards the governor, unless that person doesn’t see or feel good things;
“I know how the State was before now. Across the State, there are massive projects going on. Those were the magic of a man devoted to giving in his best. What he expects from every right thinking man is support in moving the State forward”.
Rev. Nwanebu however prayed that before the next celebration of two years in office of the Governor, many more projects would have been be achieved.
Charging the State Workforce on dedication to duty and proactiveness, Rev. Nwanebu asked them to be partners in progress, rather than indulging in acts inimical to the development of the State.
