As the All Progressive Congress, APC begins revalidation of membership exercise this week, followers of former governor of Imo State and Senator representing Orlu zone, Senator Rochas Okorocha are scared stiff over what would be their fate in the party.
APC national caretaker committee ahead of the congresses to usher in new executives, embarked on party membership revalidation exercise.
Instead of witnessing a smooth sail in Imo, the planned exercise has hitherto resumed the Supremacy battle rivalry between Okorocha’s camp against the one led by the governor, Senator Hope Uzodinma.
Trumpeta notes that before now, there have been series of intra party wrangling for who controls the soul of the party leading to factional wars between loyalists of Uzodinma and those of Okorocha.
This newspaper learnt that with those of Uzodinma led by the state caretaker chairman Marcon Nlemigbo incharge of the exercise in Imo chapter, no chance will be available for the pro Okorocha APC members in Imo.
Findings by Trumpeta indicated that the fate of the former governor’s men in Imo APC, controlled by Uzodinma backed state executives is already shaky as the continued power struggle may deny them the opportunity to gain grounds in the party.
What however fuelled further fears in the mind of Okorocha’s allies were reports that the former governor was planning to dump APC with Uzodinma in charge of the revalidation exercise, the Okorocha men are scared to be part of the exercise.
