Following the high expectations that has characterized the construction of the Nekede-Ihiagwa and Obinze road which amongst others was the last October democracy day, when students of Federal Poly Nekede embarked on demonstration over the bad state of the road, people of Nekede-Ihiagwa communities can now have a sigh of relief as the shared prosperity government of Gov. Hope Uzodimma has made real his promises to the people.
The 3R agenda of distinguished Sen. Hope Uzodimma administration has not only performed the flag off of the road, but have achieved much progress of work on the site.
It would be recalled that people of the area suffered over the years due to the deplorable state of the road which was a nightmare for both motorists and commuters, as well as business owners around the area, youth leaders in Nekede and Ihiagwa have applauded the Government of Sen. Hope Uzodinma and Leo 9 asphalt and construction nig ltd for the asphalting some axis of the road.
They used the opportunity to drum their support to Sen. Hope Uzodinma administration. The youth leaders from the areas said the achievements are worth commendable as one of the giant’s steps of Gov. Hope Uzodinma administration to take Imo State higher.
People of the area further advised the Leo 9 asphalt and Construction Nig LTD. to continue with the quality and pace which they have showed on the site under construction.
They went further to state that with what they have witnessed, this administration means well for its citizens.
The good people of Nekede – Ihiagwa and neighbouring communities further appreciate and thanked Gov. Hope Uzodimma for his sincerity on the construction of the Nekede-Ihiagwa road which suffered negligent in the previous regimes and years.
Mrs Stella Agor, a road user thanked the governor for relieving the stress and hardship people faced in the past, as traders and business owners in the area, mentioned the improvement on economic activity and growth the road construction has impacted on businesses within this short period and encouraged his Excellency Sen. Hope Uzodinma to keep up with the good works he is doing in the state.
