The Member representing Oguta State Constituency in Imo State House of Assembly and the Deputy Minority Leader, Hon. Barr. Frank Ugboma, has added smiles on the faces of Physically Challenged Persons from the Constituency, by donating brand new wheel chairs and food items to them.
Apart from his being a strong voice in the 9th House, 3rd Assembly of IMHA, Ugboma has once more proven his panache for good representation.
Giving out the wheel chairs to those in dire need of it among the People Living With Disability, PLWD, the Lawmaker assured to provide each of them with same, as time progresses.
Sunday, January 31, 2021, would be indelible in the annals of Oguta LGA, as Hon. Frank Ugboma added laughter to the lives of the Physically Challenged Persons, in his Country home.
Earlier in his speech, he expressed delight for having such an interactive session with the “Special Citizens”.
He didn’t only thank God for making the donation possible, but also, asked for God’s continual guidance and strength to carry-on.
Hon Ugboma opined that he did that according to a covenant he had with God, which involves touching lives and ensuring that the voice of Oguta LGA is well heard in the Parliament.
The soft spoken Lawmaker promised to assist the Physically Challenged Persons with Special Skills to engage in meaningful venture, hence, revealed more plans of supporting them with startup capital into their respective chosen career.
Also, Hon Frank Ugboma charged the Chairman to make available to him, list of persons in need of support tools like Crutches, before end of this week to enable him provide them as soon as possible.
Similarly, he commended the Leadership of the union for looking out for each other, and urged them to always be bonded with such strong love and unity.
Responding, the LGA Chairman of Persons Living With Disability, Comrade Edward who couldn’t hide his feelings as he sang unto the Glory of God, thanked God for blessing them with someone like Ugboma.
Comrade Edward disclosed that apart from the former Deputy Governor, Rt. Hon. Gerald Irona, that used to take good care of them before the Supreme Court ousted the ‘Rebuild Imo Government’, they were neglected and abandoned by the present Government, but expressed happy that through Ugboma, they can have a cause to smile again.
Some of the beneficiaries showered prayers on the Oguta House Member for remembering them. Similarly, they seized the opportunity to reaffirm their unalloyed support towards him.
