A former Governor of Imo State, Senator Rochas Okorocha has described the incumbent Governor of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodinma as a confused man, who has lost grip of Imo people, and therefore seeking whom to blame for his failures.
This was contained a reaction by the Special Adviser on Media to Okorocha, Sam Onwuemedo in reply to an Uzodinma’s Aide, Modestus Nwamkpa who said that the Uzodinma administration are demolishing Okorocha’s projects because they did not meet acceptable standard.
Okorocha said that Uzodinma should not heap the blame of the low score he received from the Imo populace on his one year in office on his administration which had left office a year ago.
The portion which caused the reaction from Okorocha was Nwamkpa’s assertion that “the Governor has been busy correcting the anomalies meted to the State by the former Governor Rochas Okorocha”
Okorocha’s Aide answered that “The truth is that, if after one year the Governor’s handlers still brandish Okorocha’s name as their only defence for the Government’s failure or ineptitude, then something fundamental is obviously wrong with the administration”.
Okorocha asked Uzodinma to stop the blame game and go to work, as Imo people are no more interested in frivolous excuses adding that “blame game or passing of buck has become Old School, belated with regard to the administration”.
Okorocha went on to state that when he spent one year in office, he did not blame Ohakim, but rather showcased over thirty (30) projects to celebrate his one year in office.
Okorocha concluded by saying that Uzodinma, through poor performance has lost the Imo masses.
“He has lost Imo people. He has lost APC members in the State, at all levels. He should reinvent and reinvigorate his Government for the flight to take off” he charged Uzodinma.
