Soccer legends such as KANU Nwankwo, Mobi Oparaku, Victor Agali and Emmanuel Amuneke are expected to storm Attah in Njaba LGA for the annual AKUATUEGWU Soccer championship that kicks off December 22nd, 2020
Disclosing the preparations so far in an interview with Trumpeta sports desk, the Promoter of the competition, Nze Izunna Osuji ”Ogbuefi AKUATUEGWU 1 of Attack”, some foreign football scouts and Nigerians soccer legends are billed to be part of the 2020 edition kick off.
He said in all nine football clubs will vie for honours for the soccer fiesta which has a budget of five million naira. According to the sponsor, the winner goes home with one point five million naira while the runner up pockets one million naira just as one point five million naira go as consolation to other participating teams with the LOC working with one million naira.
AKuatuegwu who also floats Nariz football Club said he decided to invest in the competition believing it would reveal some hidden stars in the community who in turn could be marketable abroad.
On his other philanthropic activities, the Promoter who is also the President/ Founder AKUATUEGWU International Supporter Initiative, said he has empowered youths of the area, provided electricity for the community, provided access roads for the community in addition to providing succour for individuals.
The Philanthropist who said he has no political ambition also spoke of his annual carnival tagged “AKUATUEGWU carnival” which 2020 edition will run December 30, 2020 to January 5, 2020
