A local newspaper that thrives on big lies, propaganda, and blackmail, but ironically goes by the title: “The Big Truth” published its Wednesday, December 16, 2020 edition with the illiterate false banner headline: “Imo PDP Broke, Sacks All Staff At State Secretariat”.
The unpopular tissue paper also falsely stated that “… All The Elected Members Failed To Remit Money To The Party”!
Responsible people easily decipher factual news from fake news. Responsible people will easily disregard the false and fake news peddled by the laughable tissue paper, pretending to be a newspaper.
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Imo State is a corporate organization, which is operated by human beings. Among the human beings are workers/staff employed/hired to ensure the working and running of the organization.
In the character of corporate organizations, workers are hired and fired from time to time as the organization may determine and decide. Every organization has the right to hire and fire as and when due.
Only an illiterate would advance that corporate organizations sack staff because they’re broke. It’s a big liar of a tabloid that would go public without verification, without proof, and shamelessly declare that Imo PDP is broke.
For the sake of clarification, Imo PDP is not broke. Imo PDP dey kampe! The Party, as ably led by Engr Charles C. Ugwuh, OON is working and running Imo PDP in the best way possible. No shaking!
Also, all Imo PDP staff haven’t been sacked. A visit to Imo PDP State Secretariat at 98, Okigwe Road, Owerri, will convince but not confuse anybody that Imo PDP is working.
There are at least 20 workers at the State Secretariat, whose November 2020 salaries have been paid, while plans have been concluded to pay them for December to enjoy Christmas.
We invite Imo journalists and to pay us visits and confirm the truth. Otherwise, let Imo journalists do investigative journalism and report to the world whether there’s any truth in that big lie published by “The Big Truth” tissue paper that’s falsely posing to be a newspaper!
