Group set to tackle bad governance

A group, Okigwe Youth Progressive Forum, has vowed to kick against irresponsible and bad governance in the state, especially in Okigwe North. Making this disclosure recently, the group’s president, Comrade Chidinma Onyenaugbo (Onwa) said for many years, the people of Okigwe has suffered from ineffective representation, stating that this has stunted economic development of the people of Okigwe north.

The group, which recently embarked on a tour to traditional rulers in various communities in the area, to intimate them of the aims and objectives of the group.

Among the tradional rulers visited include HRH Eze Paul Ogbu of Ihitte Uhube, HRH Eze Fidelis Chukwukere of Okwelle in Onuimo, among others.

Comrade Onyenaugbo said as part measures to sensitize the people on the aims and objectives of the group, they had to embark on a flag-off and sensitization tour.
