In a twist of fate, Mr Ifeanyi Chukwudi has finally been reappointed the General Manager of Heartland Football Club of Owerri.
The GM who was removed by the former board was on Monday named alongside other members of the newly constituted Interim Management Board with Barr Charles Ezekwem retained as Chairman.
Inaugurating the board yesterday at the Sam Mbakwe exco chambers Owerri, Gov Hope Uzodinma who also inaugurated three other boards noted that the board on interim is charged with the responsibility of making policies for the club urging them to work harmoniously towards returning the club back to reckoning.
Other members of the interim board includes; Sir Emma Ochiagha, Amb Prince Ogbonna, Chief Anozie-Nzewuihe, Chief Henry Nwogu and Chief Riverjude-Duruoma “Mmiri Motors.
Reacting to Trumpeta Sports Desk on his return as GM of Heartland FC, Mr Ifeanyi Chukwudi promised to reinvigorate Naze Millionaires and make them once again the envy of other clubs locally and at the continent.
He assured that despite what may have happened in the past which culminated to his sack unjustly, that he holds no malice against anyone noting that the new management of Heartland under his administration will be gossip free as he hopes to work in synergy with everyone as well as the club stakeholders towards returning Naze Millionaires back to winning ways.
While appreciating Governor Hope Uzodinma for returning him as GM, he however enjoined all and sundry to rally round and support his administration urging them to eschew bitterness and rancor which he observed negates progress.
The GM pointed out that working together in harmony will be key to taking the Owerri based club back to where it originally belongs.
