The Traditional Ruler of Uloano Ndugbe in lsu Local Government Area of Imo state, HRH Eze Egwuogu Ikenna Bonny (PhD), lgwe Ohazurumee 1, Uzoigbondu of Uloano Ndugbe, yesterday drummed support for the State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodinma,, on his achievements recorded since he took mantle of leadership as the number one citizen of the state.
Speaking in his Owerri Palace Annex, Eze Egwuogu noted that the present government under the watch of Hope Uzodinma is on the line to get Imo back to track, nothing that his 3R mantra is on point
He further disclosed that Governor Uzodinma having served in different capacities as a senator and politician of good repute, he will not disappoint Imo State people.
The lecturer turned traditional Ruler also said that Uzodinma whom he has known for the past 30years is a go getter, who has what it takes to uplift Imo at all levels.
He also noted that Imo citizens should give the governor the chance to off load the good and quality leadership he came with ,adding that his emergence as the governor is act of God. He promised that the governor will do everything within his powers to take Imo to a greater heights.
According to the traditional ruler, anything that is dragging Imo back, like payment of salaries and pension is just for a while, as he stated that since the government is new, alot of challenges must arise, he therefore urged Imo citizens to have patience with the governor and assist him to succeed.
He further said that most people have started receiving their salaries in contrast to false reports making the rounds that Imo government has not been paying salaries to workers
“I am a civil servant and I have received my salary even my wife have received hers too, even though many are yet to get theirs, doesn’t mean salaries are not been paid to workers.”
“Please I am of the opinion that things will fall into proper place within a space of time and Imo State will laugh soon because the man, Hope has the interest of his people at heart. He waited for long to be a governor. Now he has become one, so he knows what it means to have mandate of Imo people”. Eze Egwuogu submitted.
