The Judicial Commission of Inquiry on Contract Awarded in Imo State has given final invitations to the former governor of Imo State and Senator Representing Orlu zone, Senator Rochas Okorocha, his son in-law and AA governorship candidate in the 2019 election, Chief Uche Nwosu and four House of Reps members who served the Rescue Mission administration in the past to appear before it.
Named also are the former Principal Secretary, Dr Paschal Obi representing Ideato Federal Constituency. Others are member for Ohaji/Egbema ,Oguta, Oru West and that of Okigwe South Fed Constituency Honourables Kingsley Uju and Chike Okafor respectively.
Also invited for appearance by the Commission led by Justice Benjamin Iheaka are former Accountant General, Mrs Stella Nathan Udogwu, and Perm Sec, Ministry of Finance, Mrs L.M Asuzu.
Not left out too are several companies who are invited to appear. According to petition Nos; JUD/CICA/144m/2020 and JUD/CICA/6M/2020, the action is in pursuant to the Order of the commission for service of processes.
The commission further states “Final Hearing Notice is Hereby served on the persons and companies listed in the said schedule hereto to the effect that following the lifting of ban on flights and relaxation of the Covid-19 pandemic lockdown, the inquiry from the said persons and companies have been scheduled.
Invited persons and companies are enjoined to appear Tuesday 21 July 2020 at 10am, High Court, Port Harcourt Road Owerri is the premises. The notice say default of appearance on the notice is at the risk of defaulter.
