Family Officially Announces Chief I.D Nwoga’s Death At 85

The family of the siege Chief (Dr) I.D Nwoga Mni, OFR, has officially announced the death of the Patriack at the age of 85 years.
According to a statement made available to Trumpeta Newspaper and signed by the first son of the deceased Ezeji Chijike Nwoga, late Chief I.D Nwoga died on the 25th day of March, 2020.
Chief I.D Nwoga who hails from Umuezuo, Umuokirika in Ahiazu Mbaise Local Government, holds the Chieftaincy title of OMEREOHA MBAISE, pioneer President of Ezuruezu Mbiase and the leader of Ezeji tittle holders in Umuokirika.
He was also the pioneer Imo State chairman of Peoples Democratic Party of Nigeria PDP who ushered in the 1st Executive Governor of Imo State in the present dispensation in 1999 and also the pioneer Chairman of Imo Elders Council.
Chief I.D Nwoga served the state and Nation in various capacities. He served the state as a permanent secretary and ultimately as secretary to the Government of Imo State from where he was appointed a minister of the Federal Republic in 1992.
He is survived by his wife, children, grand children, great grandchildren, brothers, sisters and host of relations.
The statement went further to say that the burial date will be announced by the family in due course.
