COVID-19; Hon. Saviour Chima Okiro, SSA To Uzodinma, Donates Food Items To Indigene Persons In Ohaji/Egbema LGA


As the public in the state continues to feel the impact of the lockdown in the state, one of the appointees of Governor Hope Uzodinma, Hon Saviour Chima Okiro, under the umbrella of Okiro Progressive Movement has donated food items to indigent and under privileged persons in Ohaji/Egbema LGA.
Under the auspices of the Okiro Progressive Movement (OPM), Okiro on Saturday, April 4th donated food items worth millions of naira to vulnerable and indigent dwellers in Ohaji/Egbema LGA of Imo State to support relief efforts to citizens during the ongoing COVID-19 lockdown.
The food items which included over 1300 tubers of yam was presented by Hon. Saviour Okiro, President OPM and received by OPM coordinators of various communities in Ohaji/Egbema LGA.
While taking delivery of the relief materials, the President, Mr Saviour Okiro maintained that the organization would continue to render material and medical support to the people to ensure that the situation in the oil producing region does not explode or become intractable. Mr Okiro personally upholds the principle of giving and catering for the needy, which are the qualities of the organization.
Responding, the community coordinators commended the vision bearer of OPM for the gesture and called on other corporate entities to emulate Mr. Okiro assuring that the items would be utilized judiciously to ensure that they bring succor to the people of Ohaji/Egbema, especially those worst hit by the lockdown. He urge the people to cooperate with our dear Governor Sen. Hope Uzodinma in the fight against this dreaded disease Covid19 pandemic.
