Imolites especially residents of Owerri, the capital city of Imo State yesterday woke up to witness the presence of heavy security personal in some quarters of the city including Government House, Owerri.
The development Trumpeta learnt may not be unconnected with the awaited Supreme Court review of the Uzodinma vs Ihedioha case which the nations apex court had earlier scheduled to take place on Monday March 2nd 2020 before it was adjourned to today.
It could be recalled that Rt Hon Emeka Ihedioha had gone back to court challenging the decision of the Supreme Court which ousted him from office calling for a review of the results that declared Sen Hope Uzodinma as the actual winner of the 2019 Imo guber election.
Trumpeta further gathered that the state police command in conjunction with other security agencies in the state may have taken such precautionary measure to forestall any demonstration that may fall out from the apex court’s decision.
It was visibly noticed that heavily armed security personal were seen at strategic locations looking ready to combat any Irate moves as well as to maintain law and other.
