The earlier publicized State Universal Basic Education Board, SUBEB Computer Basic Test CBT scheduled to take place this week has been reportedly postponed till further notice.
Trumpeta learnt that the sudden postponement of the exercise may be connected to the fear expressed from all quarters that the Information and Communication Technology base of SUBEB may not be able to manage the traffic within a short time.
It could be recalled that the Board opened their portal for applicants after Governor Emeka Ihedioha informed Imolites that his administration would employ over 4000 Imo citizens, this according to him was to curb the rising scourge of unemployment in the State.
A cross section of applicants who spoke with newsmen when the SUBEB opened their portal, said the large amount of people making entries equals the amount of unemployed citizens of the state who have been toiling for survival with a larger number being carried forward from the past administration.
However, tension have continued to mount on all sides as applicants anticipate the Boards next move.
A civil servant who pleaded anonymity revealed that the postponement of the CBT have been dubbed a herculean task by stakeholders in the field of Education.
