Linus Okorie has continued to blaze the trail as he adds another feather to his cap. Gregory University Uturu in recognition of service to humanity and other sterling performances honoured Linus Okorie with a Doctorate degree (Honoris Causa) in Public Administration at their Convocation ceremony that took place on Saturday at the university auditorium. He was awarded the prestigious degree along Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe, Senate Minority Leader of the Nigerian Senate; Engr. E. C Iwuanyanwu, an elder statesman; Prophet Chukwuemeka Cyril Ohanemere; Alhaji Dr. Adulmunnaf Yunusa Sarina and other notable citizens of the country.
For the past twenty years, Linus Okorie has been engaged in lots of Humanitarian services mostly in the area of leadership development through his organization, Guardians of the Nations International (GOTNI). He is also the CEO of GOTNI Leadership Centre in Abuja where he continues to offer comprehensive Leadership development consultancy services to individuals and corporate organizations. He has mentored tens of thousands of young people and has reached more than three hundred thousand persons through his radio & TV shows and live events. Every year he gathers a thousand young persons from all over the country at the popular “Emerging Leaders Conference (ELC)” where he assembles the best resource persons from within and outside the country to inspire them. He is the author of the bestselling book “FOOTPRINTS LEADING BEYOND TODAY” which is forwarded by the late Dr. Myles Munroe.
In his passion for creating sociopolitical change, he ventured into politics in 2017 where he was the Gubernatorial candidate of the Young Progressive Party in Imo state.
The event was attended by students and notable citizens from across the country. Linus Okorie pledged to help the school set up a centre for Leadership development in the school to help its effort in building leaders of excellence.
