The long debated issue over who still controls the soul of Imo State chapter of the All Progressive Congress, APC, has been revealed and laid to rest.
There has been turmoil and counter claims by the supporters of Senators, Hope Uzodinma and Rochas Okorocha over the most recognized Executive that are still incharge of the party in the State.
It would be recalled that controversies had trailed the APC Leadership in the State before the 2019 general elections.
While Senator Rochas Okorocha, the then Imo State Governor conducted his own factional election that produced Mr Dan Nwafor as the State chairman, Senator Uzodinma on his own part has Prince Marcellinus Nlemigbo as State Chairman.
However, the Eagle eyes of Trumpeta Newspaper who monitored activities at the Court of Appeal Owerri yesterday can authoritatively reveal that the Nlemigbo led Exco is still in control and incharge.
Registering their displeasure on the manner and conduct the cases emanating from the Election Petition Tribunals which are at the Appeal court is going, thereby seeking for neutrality of the presiding judge, it was the name and signature of Chief M.O Nlemigbo and Dr Love Eneh, as the APC State Chairman and Secretary, respectively that endorsed the letter.
The said document without any objection was acknowledged by the office of the presiding judge.
Also recall that since the last political outing neither Dan Nwafor nor any of his “Exco” members have been spotted speaking for or on behalf of Imo APC, rather it has been the other way round.
