An outcry was experienced in Imo State two days ago when the state Police Command revealed about two long trailers impounded from one of the business outfits owned by the family of former governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha.
Trumpeta learnt that the police on top off impounded two trailers found at the premises of All in One Furniture shop owned by Nneoma Nkechi Okorocha, wife of the former governor.
It would be recalled that apart from EFCC closing the shop and putting it under seal, a government recovery team led by Jasper Ndubuaku had clashed with Okorocha’s daughter at the premises.
Police in a statement said that two trailers had moved into the warehouse prompting police to move in. According to police those inside the premises refused to open the gate, but the place was cordial off till yesterday when it stormed the place to arrest 12 persons including the trailers.
The incident has raised further fears about what is inside the warehouse that the trailer came to cart away before police came.
Trumpeta was informed that fears are rife that the allegations by the Recovery Committee of the presence of government property allegedly carted away by the past administration could have an action of truth.
The Ndubuaku committee had alleged that several items belonging to Government removed from their former locations by operatives of the former administration were kept at the All-In One shop of the wife of the former governor, now under EFCC investigation.
