The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon Aminu Tambuwal is leading the deluge of Nigerian top politicians and other personalities storming ImoStatethis weekend for the 80th Birthday celebration of Dame Chief (Mrs) Dorothy Ihedioha, the mother of the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon Emeka Ihedioha.
According to a release from the office of the Deputy Speaker, the mother will clock 80 years on August 28, 2012 but the celebration proper will take place tomorrow Saturday, Sept 29, which will coincide with the dedication of a new church building St Peters Anglican Church, Mbutu, Aboh Mbaise LGA,ImoState.
His Grace, Most Rev Nicholas Oko, Archbishop Metropolitan and Primate of All Nigeria Anglican Communion, will officiate the dedication and thanksgiving service.
However reception will follow immediately after service at Hon Emeka Ihedioha’s palatial country home at Mbutu, Aboh Mbaise LGA.
Reports reaching Imo Trumpeta has it that the occasion will be earth – shaking as over five hundred thousand visitors are expected, even as all has been put on ground to control the mammoth crowd.
Trouble makers have been advised to stay away from the ceremony as Security has been beafed up around the entire Aboh Mbaise LGA.
According to the planning committee, everything has been put in place to have a hitch – free ceremony that befits the Matriarch, who has spent 80 years on earth, and still kicking.
The celebrant was born in Ngor Okpala, and married in Aboh Mbaise.
Expected at the occasion include, Senators, Governors, House of Reps members, Assembly members, Captains of Industries, top politicians, security Buffs, etc.
Meanwhile, the people of Ngor Okpala, who born Mrs Dorothy Ihedioha are trooping out in their thousands to support their daughter.
