Owelle Rochas Okorocha has overcome the challenges posed by opponents as Tribunal has given him clean bill to continue as the Senator for Imo West Senatorial District
The Elections Petitions Tribunal affirmed his position as the Senator representing Orlu Zone in the National Assembly after dismissing the petitions of Osita Izunaso and Jones Onyeriri of the APGA and PDP respectively.
Ex-Governor Okorocha whose victory at the polls was challenged by the candidates of the People’s Democratic Party, Hon. Jones Onyereri and that of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, Senator Osita Izunaso was affirmed as duly nominated by his Party, and his election on February 23rd, fully complied with the Electoral Act.
The election petition tribunal has therefore dismissed all the prayers by the petitioners, for lacking in merit.
Election Petition Tribunal Upholds Uju Kingsley Chima’s Victory
The member representing the people of Ohaji-Egbema, Oguta and Oru West Federal Constituency, Hon Kingsley Chima Uju has had his election into the green Chamber of the National Assembly upheld by the election petition tribunal.
Meanwhile In another judgment delivered today in Abuja, the tribunal validates the victory of Kingsley Uju Chima, the Action Alliance, AA, candidate and declared the petition of his challenge and candidate of the All Progressive Congress, APC, Hon Goodluck Opiah as lacking in merit for Ohaji/Egbema, Oguta, Oru West Federal Constituency.
